Bob Ross Contemporary
Inspired by both Bob Ross' joy in creating Happy Little Trees and the concept of leisure painting, my own love of painting collides with anonymous artists whose work have made their way to thrift shops. In this series, I respond to these landscape paintings with my vision of the world--which includes contemporary design elements, abstract geometric forms, and lots of color. By adding onto these environments, I ask the viewer to consider humanities' dominion over nature as well as addresses the supposed difference between High Art and low art.
